Poulpe bleu! Our fab “Get on the bike for charity” event has wrapped up, having raised £355.10 for our chosen three causes!
Bliss, Yorkshire Cancer Research and MS Society are charities we support throughout the year, and they will be receiving the money to help advance the great work they’re doing to help those who need it most.
Inspired by the Tour de France – the Grand Départ of which is taking place tomorrow in nearby Leeds – we at Blue Octopus had the great idea of putting on our own little Tour to keep fit and help out!
Today, our dedicated staff and the good people of Otley came down to pedal away on two stationary bikes outside our building. Racking up twelve hours of riding time between them, our participants with legs of iron soon smashed through the 190km (118 miles) target – the length of the first stage of the Tour.
And so we set our sights higher, doubled our target and are now really proud to announce we covered a total distance of 380km – 236 miles!
Disappointed you couldn’t get involved? Why not subscribe to our blog so you can be the first to know about the next event we launch here at Blue Octopus.
Check out the pics of our athletes pedalling away earlier today – to view a larger version of an image, click it, and then again on the next page that opens.
A big thank you to everyone who took part and donated – you’re awesome!
