Mears Group and online recruitment provider, Blue Octopus, are entering into a three-year partnership to improve the way in which Mears Group recruits.
Mears Group are one of the largest Housing and Care providers within the UK. Mears Care provides support to over 25,000 people in their own homes every week. They have over 100 branches nationwide. Mears Housing provides rapid response and planned maintenance services to local authorities and registered social landlords, delivering in excess of 6,000 repairs every day to a portfolio of over 1,000,000 homes nationwide. Mears Group employs a wide range of roles, including Branch Managers, Gas Engineers, Plumbers, Administrators and Care Workers.
Blue Octopus will be streamlining their current recruitment by introducing Octo FirstClass recruitment technology, in-line with the existing Mears recruitment processes. Blue Octopus will also be improving the Mears online recruitment presence, providing a dedicated careers site and additional digital advertising and marketing. Blue Octopus have put in place a dedicated team to manage the Mears Group account due to the sheer volume of recruitment which will be required.
The partnership has been created after a rigorous selection process competing against a range of recruitment providers, agencies and flat fee recruiters. Initially the partnership will be introduced across the South East and London, then the service will be extended nationwide.
The Blue Octopus solution has been selected to create efficiencies within the recruitment process, increase the Mears talent pool, candidate reach and recruitment branding and ultimately to reduce time and spend on recruitment across Mears.
