The Onrec shortlist has been announced and we have been entered in four categories. We are hoping for the fourth year running to bring another award back to Yorkshire! The awards take place on Thursday the 10th of March at the Grange Hotel in at the heart of London’s busy business district.

We have previously had great success at the Onrec awards winning the ‘Creative Offline Marketing’ Award twice and the ‘Best Online Candidate Experience’ Award in the last three years. The awards that we have been shortlisted for 2016 are as follows:

Creative Offline Marketing Award:

Our Marketing team have done it again and managed to get onto the Onrec shortlist with some of our outstanding Blue Octopus marketing material.

The Technical Innovation Award:

Octo has come an extremely long way in the past two years, with the additions of a long list of outstanding features such as:

– SMS notifications – to remind candidates of interviews

– Social Hub – Scheduled social media job alerts

– Advanced talent search and Talent Projects – empowering clients to headhunt candidates and arrange them into custom folders

– Employer Branded Application Process – Octo has been designed to be responsive for all devices so candidates can apply from any device that they might be viewing the vacancy on. Not only will the layout look great but with our First Class offering it can be completely tailored to the client’s brand which will showcase the employer brand throughout the hiring process

From 2015 to now, we have noticed a real increase in interest for our Octo Recruitment Technology attracting key companies such as TD Direct Investing, Cambria College and David Lewis Centre who enjoy the clear benefits of our most powerful license – Octo First Class.

The Unsung Hero of the Year Award:

Following on from Octo and the amazing progression over the past two years, we thought it was appropriate to put our Head of IT Marc Wrench forward. Marc has done an outstanding job heading up Blue Octopus’ IT and really dedicated himself to the role since he joined the company in January 2014. We were really pleased to see that he was on the shortlist for the Unsung Hero of the Year award.

The Best Online Candidate Experience Award:

Service has always been at the heart of what we offer here at Blue Octopus, now with the updated responsive application process the candidate experience has been greatly improved from a functional perspective. The candidate experience, as always has been supported by our dedicated service team who have been providing a top notch service to all our candidates.

We’re going to keep our fingers crossed and hope that we bring some more silverware back to Yorkshire.
